Industrial rehabilitation specialists work with business and industry to provide safe work environments for employees. If injury occurs, we work with the employer and employee to ensure an efficient and safe transition back into the work force.
Functional Capacity Evaluation
Ministry Rehabilitation Services offers a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE), an objective assessment used to determine an individual's ability to perform general functional activities or work-related tasks. An FCE facilitates the return to work process by identifying the abilities and limitations of an injured worker. By using internationally recognized methods of evaluation, the FCE provides a comprehensive and effective approach to work injury management that meets the needs of the individual, employer, physician and others.
Industrial Rehabilitation for Business
Industrial rehabilitation for business services include on-site job analysis that can identify physical demands, various risk factors and an appropriate job match for employees. In addition, we offer injury prevention, injury management and rehabilitation. In most cases, injured workers seen in the emergency room and walk-in clinic can be seen the same day or within 24 hours of referral. Our treatment approach is multifaceted and ensures prompt and safe return to work while increasing productivity and decreasing future injuries.
Industrial Rehabilitation for the Injured Worker
Our experienced therapists work as a team to get employees back on their feet and on the job as soon as possible. The rehabilitation process for the injured worker begins with a comprehensive evaluation and follows with pain management, strength/flexibility training and education. The rehabilitation staff works with every injured worker to design an individualized program based on established goals.

Occupational therapists assess and treat the whole person physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. If everyday function is complicated by disease, illness or trauma, we assist you in returning to optimal functioning.
For many people, everyday living is complicated by disease, aging, disability, illness or trauma. Occupational therapy provides people with skills they need to overcome disabling conditions.
Occupation refers to activities that are meaningful to an individual, within the environment the person lives and functions. The three areas of occupation are self-care, work and leisure. Occupational therapy begins with a comprehensive evaluation to determine a current level of occupational functioning. Treatment plans address dysfunction due to delayed development, environmental concerns and deficits in movement, sensation, cognition and emotional components of performance. Treatment focuses on adapting tasks and the environment to maximize independence and improve quality of life.
Specialty areas include Biofeedback, Chronic Pain Programming, Hand Therapy, Incontinence, Lymphedema Management and Stress Management.

Certified athletic trainers (ATCs) are highly educated and skilled professionals that care for and provide injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to active people of all ages and skill levels. They help injured athletes determine the course of action that is needed in order to reduce the long-term effect of their injuries.
An athlete needs to be in top physical shape in order to perform at his or her best, but if an injury occurs it can hinder their performance abilities and stop them in their tracks. Certified athletic trainers can help individuals with sports related injuries. They determine what type of medical care is necessary, what corrective techniques or exercises are best for the injury, and when it is safe to resume work, play or physical activities. ATCs can help individuals avoid unnecessary medical treatment and disruption to normal daily activities.
Certified athletic trainers are medical experts in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from various forms of physical activity. ATCs are an integral part of the health care team. They work under the direction of a licensed physician and in cooperation with other health care professionals in order to treat injuries more effectively and ensure that the injury is treated properly. Athletic trainers are concerned with the health and well-being of all athletes and they strive to get athletes on their feet and back in the game.
Wound, Ostomy and Continence Care
At Ministry Rehabilitation Services we have a staff trained in wound, ostomy and continence care to help you maintain the lifestyle you're accustomed to living. Life doesn't have to change just because you have special medical needs.
There are many approaches and techniques available to heal wounds. Our specialists provide assessment and management of pressure, venous, arterial and diabetic ulcers and draining incisions.
If you've had an operation (such as a colostomy or ileostomy) to create an artificial passage for bodily elimination, our specialists can assist you and your family with the changes that this brings to your life. We provide many different services and support group opportunities for those who need ostomy care.
The Continence Control Program is staffed by a team of licensed occupational and physical therapists with advanced training in the treatment of incontinence. Our staff understands the sensitivity of continence issues and supports your decision to take control. Talking with your health care provider about incontinence is the first step. Once the type and cause of your incontinence are known, treatment can begin immediately.
