New Nurse Practitioner Joins MMG Woodruff Clinic

WOODRUFF, WI—Ministry Medical Group is pleased to announce that Margaret Alvarez, RN, MSN, ACNP-BC joined the clinic practice on July 21, 2008. Alvarez specializes in providing medical care for adults and seniors focusing on acute and chronic illnesses, primary care, and preventive care.She comes to Woodruff with many years of experience including several years at the University of Chicago in the Department of Neurosurgery, St. Joseph's Hospital of Chicago, and Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL.

Alvarez completed her Master of Science degree in nursing at the University of Illinois Chicago and her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at University of Santo Tomas, Philippines.She is a Certified Nurse Practitioner, Advanced RN Practitioner, Certified Emergency Nurse, and Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

She believes in having a relationship and partnership with her patients and is highly supportive of prevention."Patients need information and I work with each one to make sure they understand what is wrong and how we can treat the problem," she stated."A strong relationship with my patients is important to me and I treat each one like a member of my family."

When she is not caring for patients she enjoys reading mystery novels and spending time with her family.

Margaret Alvarez joins the practice at MMG Woodruff along with Stacy Hammes, PA and Richard Brandner, MD.
