(Woodruff, Wis.) – The Auxiliary of Howard Young Medical Center Volunteers recently made two donations to Howard Young Medical Center (HYMC).
Woodruff, WI – The Auxiliary of Howard Young Medical Center awarded Dr. Henry Ashe Continuing Education Scholarships to eight students who are pursuing a career in a healthcare field at the undergraduate level. Each student received $2,000 and in addition, two $1,000 scholarships were presented to two graduating seniors from Lakeland Union High School (LUHS) who plan on pursuing a healthcare major.
(WOODRUFF, WI)— Howard Young Foundation has announced receipt of a $10,000 grant from the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation to help support a project to bring a state-of-the-art, 128-Slice CT Scanner to the One Heart Cardiology Suite and the emergency department at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. The scanner is projected to be in service by spring 2016. It will further raise the bar on heart care in the Northwoods, and offer a level of diagnostics that patients previously had to travel out of the area to receive.
