River of Commitment Donor Wall
The foundation of Good Samaritan Health Center has a new method of recognizing the individuals who believe in the strength of the Merrill community.
The Merrill community was built around the strength of two rivers; a force our forefathers knew would be constant yet change with the times. This force carves out a path provides a network for business, growth and the community’s future. With this vision, the Good Samaritan Foundation extends the healing ministry of Jesus into the community through area programs and services.
Following in the tradition of the power influence of the rivers of the community, the Good Samaritan Foundation is embarking on “A River of Commitment to strengthen our community” as it continues with its efforts to improve the health and well being of the area.
The centerpiece of this new River of Commitment is a new donor wall located in the main lobby of the Hospital created by Andy Goretskiof Custom Murals in Tomahawk. “Being from the area, Andy understood the history of Merrill and the significance of the Wisconsin and Prairie Rivers,” said Foundation Director Kathy Brecke “His vision was to represent Merrill’s natural beauty, honor its history and celebrate its achievements by providing a destination reflecting upon the contributors that supports the growth of our community.
The vision of Good Samaritan Health Center Foundation is to identify health needs, sponsor programs and/or services that shape the quality and availability of health care and well-being of all people in Merrill and the surrounding communities. From the Annual Golf Outing to Planned Giving programs seeking to develop long term funding sources for future needs, the work of the Foundation directly benefits the health and well being of the Merrill community.
“This is a wonderful way to embrace our history and recognize the heartfelt contributions to the Foundation,” said Good Samaritan President Michael Hammer.
